Since 1943 they have been made of zink but in 1944 they started copper plating them.

So, the troubles are clearing after several large water changes and I just got Cuprisorb yesterday and have been running NoPox for a few weeks. And started vibrant last week. No3 is down to 20PPM, I haven't plucked alage in 2 weeks and it's receding. I will send in an ICP test in a few days but after just 24 hrs of running Cuprisorb I see a world of differance in the corals.
Some corals that were completely overrun with alage for weeks and I had given up for 100% loss are showing color in the bases as the alage recedes.

I'm going to be selling the tank, sump canopy and lights. It will include 2XT5 lights, 2X halide lights in luminarc III reflectors and ARO ballasts. Just needs a skimmer, return pump and flow pump and it's ready to go. I could throw in a Get you by for a while rio return pump and a korellia 4 for flow and the tank is ready to go. Also included will be a spare magnetic ballest and a bunch of new or almost new bulbs

Looks like it will be mid January. I would love to get it done this year but I won't have a double fishtank in my living room ongoing transfer for Christmas or the week leading up to Christmas.
That said, I should have all the parts to setup the new tank this week and a week of leak testing and I could have it done in 2 weeks... IDK
Will you be running halides? If so, radiums?
I think I found another piece in the puzzle as to why my SPS have been doing so poorly. Yesterday, I wanted to finish laying out the plumbing on the new tank and needed the UV sterilizer. I pulled it from the 135 and began to clean it. What I found was the the inside of the tube, all the parts that recieved direct UV light had badly corroded. There was so much black plastic mush that my hand looked like I had stuck it in ink. I wonder if that could be the source of the high levels of tin in my ICP tests?
