Tour Pacific East Aquaculture - Dr. Mac - 12/9

I plan on coming. I don't have but a couple of dollars to my name and should be studying, but I can not miss this. If I am late though do not wait for me. I am horrible at sleeping in and being exam week my sleeping schedule is mixed up.

Sorry I missed you guys, the "Bear" Library isn't where map quest says it was. I should have spoke up and said I had not been there earlier, but I can usually find places on my own. Really bummed I didn't get to go, I drove down 40 in Bear after driving to New Castle, hoping you guys were still around and I would luck out and find it. My day didn't get any better after that either. :-( Hope everything was great for you guys.
I was not even plan on buying anything, but I wanted to see the way Dr. Mac runs things as I am hoping to find my way into aquaculture when I graduate. I have a friend in one of the islands near the one Dr. Mac works with who said he could get me a decent paying job.

Maybe we'll get some new members next year and make another trip.

I too, missed the boat. I had full intention on going, but got a late start, started that way and got a speeding ticket. Things just didn't seem like they were going to get better, so I returned to home port. Probably just as well, I'm sure I would have spent more than I can afford. I'll make a trip down after Christmas. Police in Felton have no sense of humor.

Oh no, say it ain't so Joe.. We spotted a few of those speed traps along there too, just like Chris was telling us. Fortunately traffic was a little slow and we had no problems. Sorry you missed the trip that way.

It was a nice day at the Doc's. lots of real nice corals and frags to choose from. We all browsed the entire lot, had lunch and the Doc answered all our questions as we picked our corals. Then a full tour and explanation of the systems and how the live stock is grown and imported. A great day! I for one really enjoyed it . The day was just too short . My new frags are safe in a temp tray in my reef tank until i finish my new frag grow tank.

Many thanks to Doctor Mac and Family, they made us feel right at home.

I hope you guys had lots of fun... I REALLY Wanted to go but I work on saturdays and with us buying the new place in a few weeks the wife wasnt willing to let me spend any cash....

When we start putting the 265 together ill definently be hitting Dr. Mac up for over 200lbs of Live Rock though... See ya then Dr. Mac!

Thanks a lot Dr. Mac, Beth, and everybody else down there for your hospitality. Great tour and gorgeous frags as usual! Those pieces from the Soloman Is. are really of a quality that's hard to find. To everybody who missed out - you definitely need to stop by whenever you're in the area.

Yes, great day

Yes, great day

I echo the thanks to Dr. Mac for a great day that flew by really fast. My Solomon Islands frags are in place and looking very good! Also thanks to Tom & Annette for speeding me up the road for the return journey. I made it to Baltimore with only 5 minutes to spare before going on the air answering phones for Maryland Public Television. Hectic but successful... Thanks you guys:-)

Thanks everyone for coming in, it was our pleasure to see all of you and spend a bit of time with you all. Your business is greatly appreciated. I was out in Los Angeles this week hand-picking corals and got lots of really incredible stuff. So, if anyone missed the big day last week, or even if you were here, come on in this Saturday for probably the best coral selection I have had all year. I will be posting a list of all the items I brought back and then slowly posting some on the site, but if anyone wants first pick this weekend will be the time.

Thanks again for coming out and I look forward to seeing all of you again soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

Thanks for the heads up Dr. Mac. I may have to make a return trip down.

In the future if you have any updates please feel free to post in this forum, I am always interested to see what is new, and I am sure many other are as well. Thanks again.

Chris
