trachiphyllia placement

I have a trachyphyllia and it has doubled in size i attached its base to a plug two months ago but now it has grown substantially. Should I place it in the sand or are they better suited for the rock?

Trachyphyllia are typically found free living in the substrate, so they are better suited for the sand That said, I've seen and had them do just fine when carefully wedged in the LR.

Thanks Bill, it is starting to hang over the side of the rock so I wanted to put it in a place where it would be supported from underneath.
