Trainwreck's 300 Gallon Double-D!!!

The second return line for all the fun stuff.

Here is what will control the flow to the frag tank, quarantine tank, reactors, and skimmer.

Lots of unions, but the 300 is all plumbed.

I filled the sump and with saltwater and added the rock

Wired up an exhaust fan to keep the humidity down, along with a beefy dehumidifier.

The tank is finally getting wet!

This is all for now, I need to load more pics into photo bucket.

I am loving this build. I wish I had a basement to add those sumps. Fairview Heights? Ohio?

Thank you. I have been following your build for a while, that thread is getting huge!

Having an empty basement with tall ceilings has been one of the greatest parts about this house. Actually, probably the only great thing about this house.. At least until we are completely finished with remodeling.

I live in Fairview Heights,IL. About 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis.

I think it's great when someone can take a bunch of plumbing pictures and make them look so dramatic. ;)

Thank you, I appreciate the compliment.

I spent a lot of time planning the plumbing. I wanted things easy to get to and simple to replace if needed. It didn't turn out perfect, but I am happy with it. If I had a second set of hands to help out I probably could have got things just right.

More pictures coming tonight, I'm trying to get everything out here over the next couple days so I can be up to date with my posts instead of talking about things I did months ago...

I placed some of the rock in the tank so it didn't look so bare..

I got a deal on a custom frag tank that the builder "screwed up" for someone else... He apparently got a little messy with the glue. I can see what he was talking about, but even with the "screw up" I would have paid the price he was asking and I got it for around half that I think. This thing is awesome! Its a show frag tank for sure, nice and beefy. Anyway, since it was a custom job for someone else he left the drilling to me so i could place the bulkheads where I want it. Here's the pics.

I painted all the stands and platforms, i will get to the rest later. Just focusing on the important stuff first.

Nice update. Things are looking better and better.

What are the big metal plates on the wall?

The metal plates on the wall are foundation anchors I had installed to prevent the walls from moving. Minor foundation issues i wanted to get squared away before i put a bunch of aquariums in the way..

How do you like Jimmy hanging over watching?

Is that a tankless water heater or a chiller?

Boxes waiting!!

Here Is a few pics of some of the gear.

Getting ready to install the wide angle lenses on the radions and get them hung.

I love boxes... I have three sitting upstairs now waiting on me. I opened two different ones though.

While I think you will like the 60's, personally I went with a few extra 40's. The minimum flow of a 60 was a tad to high when I was looking at them.

I can get two 40's to make a wave in a 265, so I know they will do what I am looking to do.
