Transecting carpet anemone

Anyone have experience with cutting a atlantic carpet anemone in half for propagation purposes ? I heard that if you keep part of the stoma on the each piece it should/could regenerate.
Any thoughts ?
 
atlantic carpets are typically much harder than bta's to split manually, I'd say the chances of losing one that isn't in great shape are considerably higher...

RBTA's you ca do with scissors and the just throw back in the tank , doubt anything can be as easy as these.
 
I got rid of mine becuse the atlantic carpets don't host anything if your talking about Stichodactyas helianthus
