Transferring all items to a new tank...

I put the mad face since I know its going to be a pain in the a$$ :D but then again fun too. I'm planning this all in my head but everything won't happen until two weeks from now or sooner. What I'm looking for which I can borrow is a large rubber made container. Like the ones for a pond or some people use them as large frag holders. I'll need it to house my live stock while the transer begins. At the same time I want to drill my live rocks to create peg holes for frags and create cliffs (or atleast try too). So if anyone has any large containers I'd be more than appreciated for your help. Thanks

I'll check to see what I have and will let you know.

I've done this 5 times already so I kinda know how to do it

But do it sooner rather than latter because the weather is getting cold. The main thing is to have a bunch of powerheads and heaters available(test your heaters ahead to time to dial in the right temp otherwise you can cook the corals, if you have a temp controller then that is the best thing to have. Lots and lots of make up water heated and ready to go because you are going to be doing a very large water change. If you have a sand bed then have some new clean sands available because you will be replacing atleast half of them.

have some submersible water pumps and flexible hoses ready to go so you can use it to move water around.

Tom,

Got everything covered except for the new sand. I plan on getting the containers then creating some water and waiting 24-48 hours with the powerheads and heaters running. I'll test everything and slowly do a transfer. Thanks for checking for me.

i have two big rubber containers you can use just let me know

Clay, thanks for offering the containers! If you don't mind what are the dimensions of each? I'm trying to use only one container if possible? But if I have to use two then I can do that too but one would be nice! Thanks again.

Hey Jason, do you need any help? Dont be afraid to ask, it makes it sooo much easier with some extra hands.

Jeff,

Thanks for the offer. I'll see once I jump into the transfer! Its only a 65 gallon tank so and there are about 125-150 pounds of LR (3-4 large pieces at 25 pounds a piece) and about 50-65 pounds of LS. So it should be easy  :D Plus, its going to take time since I plan on drilling the rocks for peg placement. Thanks again...

i want to say one is 4'x3'x2' with wheels and the other is 3'x3'x2'

Clay,

I think I'll go for the 4'x3'x2'... I plan on breaking down my 24 gallon nano tank too! Hmmm... I may have to borrow both just incase. Thanks again for your kindness! I'll PM you 1-2 days before I start everything. Thanks again.
