so i have had my fish in hypo salinity for 2 months and i am ready to move them back to the display tank. is there any special procedure to moving them back into "regular" salinity other than dripping? how long should i drip if i am going from 1.009 up to 1.024?

I would just raise the salinity in the tank there are currently in until it is the same as the DT and that would be the easiest way imo. I would do it over a 2 week period
+1 to raising the salinity over a few wk period. If you were going to drip acclimate from 1.009 to 1.024 it would need to be done over a 24 hr period or more that's a huge swing in salinity

When I need to raise salinity, I just use s/w for top off. Shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks if your QT is open top and your home heater keeps blowing.
Personal experience, before you raise the salinity I would transfer the fish to a new QT tank with new water that is at the same salinity as the tank they are currently in. I have heard of cases where the cyst remained dormant on the bottom of the QT tank and when the salinity started to raise the cyst came out and finished the cycle. This is what happened in my case. Getting the fish into a completely new container while they are ich free will insure that when you slowly bring up the salinity that there if there is no parasite on the fish that no cyst will even be able to hatch because it's not there.
