Several months ago I got a rock of some generic People Eater's at my LFS. After several months they actually turned out being Green Stardust PE's. One of my favorite morphs. Unfortunately, a large worm took care of most of them as well as some large amphipods. They seem to prefer Zoanthus gigantus. Anyways, I got another rock of generic PE's about a month ago and they seem to be morphing into GSPE's as well. WHAT LUCK!!! I figured I would post pics this time in case another tragedy were to occur. Here's a shot soon after receiving them. They are on the left.

Here is a recent shot showing them beginning to morph.

Here is what they will look like in another few weeks.

Here is the finished product. As I said before it's one of my favorites.

Yeah ummm... Thats nice and all... But I like the two to the right in the first pic... lol ;)

Nah, don't ya love when you pick things up from the LFS and they color up in your tank... :D

Funny you should mention it. I just noticed my stardust PPE's being closed for some time now. Last night i got to looking and it looks like a bristle worm has taken a liking to them. I have never had bristle worms damage anything but now it is time for a trap. they have crossed the line.

Me too, but you gotta love the GSPE's.

It's always a nice surprise.

rabid frog- Watch for large Amphipods as well. Some of them seem to prefer Zoanthus gigantus(PE's).

i am hoping that my Mandarin keeps the pods in check. I dunno if he can eat some of the larger ones. How do you rid yourself of the large pods?

what do you suggest? I already have a Manderin crusing in there, but the pods that are causing trouble are too big for him to eat.

Many wrasses should eat the larger ones. Some of them may eat ornamental shrimp as well though.

My neon dottyback takes care of my zoas very well. It's like they are his garden, and he has a constant eye for any movement on them.
Did I say I love that little guy. My zoas are bug free, and I feel like he is a huge part of it.
