two days is a little tricky for many sps. your best bet would be a well insulated container kept in a moderate temperature room with plenty of water. The plenty of water is key here. Use much much more than they put with corals in those little bags when you buy them. If the coral fouls the water or uses up to much dissolved air it is all over so you are trying to prevent this by using a large volume. Properly done it should work but be careful when light acclimating after two days in the dark.

forgot to mention...do not, do not put it in the trunk of a car. The temps fluctuate most here. Keep it in the cabin and maybe run your temps a bit warmer than normal or keep it out of direct air current from AC to limit convection and temp reduction

agreed, lots of water, stable temp and an air pump will definitely help, you could even throw in a little bag of purigen to help remove anything that builds up.

Transporting SPS
Everything went well. I transported two colonies from Michigan to Florida. I ended up driving straight through so it only took about 17 hours. I picked the corals up the night before I left so they were in the bucket for about 24 hours. I simply placed both colonies and 2 frags in a clear Rubbermaid with about 3 gallons of water. I also filled a 5 gallon bucket with a fresh batch if salt water. I changed out about a half gallon of water from the Rubbermaid every time I stopped for gas. No lid on the Rubbermaid either. All the corals did great. I don't even think they lost any color. Thank you for all the help.
