Trash picked goniopora will it make it?

Trying to save it....:o

I found this in a live rock tank under a pile of rubble rock.
There was almost no tissue left. I got it for free.:celeb2:

Years ago they were considered almost imposable to keep.
I never tried to keep one until now.

Another rescue...
I found this in a trash can in a pile of trash and dead fish years ago with almost no tissue on it. It survived very well.

looks like it's recovering. Some corals are remarkably tough and resilient.
But I have to ask....do you dumpster dive the LFS?
 
The other coral that I trash picked was almost dead in the sale tank. One day I went back to the store and asked what happened to it and they said it was dead so they took it out.:( I asked if they put in their live rock system and the guy told me they through it in the trash:hmm3:.I asked if I could have it and he took it out and gave it to me. It was in the trash for a few hours. It was a skeleton with almost no tissue, It has grown a lot and looks like nothing happen to it today.

i brought a red ora gonipora back from the deAD just like youre but mine only had one piece of flesh left.if they do recover they become very tough and resiliant corals.mine is poping buds of every month now
