Hypothetical question, I hope!
If one gets an ich outbreak in a reef tank with a large fish population, and must remove them, what is the most practical approach to both manage treatment and hospital tank ammonia problems? I am, for example, well set up to quarantine and treat new fish (probably up to about 10, if small) but would be hard pressed to treat the entire 22 fish from my DT all at once. Not to mention housing the fish for the 12 weeks or so necessary to rid the display of ich!
For folks who have had to do this, how did you manage it?
