Do you guys treat the new fish first and then place it to the QT or place it in the QT first then watch for bad signs then treat it accordingly? thanks

You can't see all ich and have to assume that it exists from any commercial source, and then eradicate.

I don't check for ich first; I treat actively ASAP.

Some fish will not eat well in a small tank except with food on LR. In such case, I delay treatment against ich.

My fish go into an observation tank for a couple of weeks. If I see any signs of disease then I put them in a separate quarantine tank for treatment.

My corals and inverts go into a separate observation tank then the fish. This tank is run through a large refugium that I keep live rock in for other people
I have had cases where ich as been introduced into the tank via live rock so I keep that tank 'fishless'
