Treating with Vitamin C

After more than one week dose, the closed zoa opened, but the dying zoa still fading, just slow down the speed. hopefully, it will be fine next week.

Did you guys have the experience that the coralline aglae on the LR turned to white after dose?
I monitor the PH every morning and night, the fluctiation is less than +-0.2. anything else were stable.

My cotaline is nice & pink. Some zoas are too far gone to save. I have one that was shipped improperly (2-day w/no coldpack) & even with the high dosing I do, it's still rotting.

I-herb had sold out but it looks like they have restocked.

Probably more of a calcium problem then a pH problem.

I start to dose only once per day and see the coralline algae will come back or not.

fading coralline algae I guarantee you is not related to your vitamin c dosing and and ph swings associated

its low alk or calcium....most likely the latter as has already been stated. check your mag as well as if it isnt right you cant maintain your calcium

I purchased some Sodium Ascorbate from I-herb, and started today. I took pics last night (unfortunately with actinics), but forgot to upload them. Most of my colonies are good, but we'll see if this can improve them all!

Not for a tank your size.

For every 100 gallons:

5 ppm ----- 1892 mg VC
10 ppm ---- 3785 mg VC
15 ppm ---- 5677 mg VC
20 ppm ---- 7570 mg VC
25 ppm ---- 9462 mg VC
30 ppm ---- 11355 mg VC

Since the VC you purchaszed is 1112mg/1/4 tsp, just round it out.

So, basically 2.5x 1/4tsp for my tank, right (for 5 ppm)?
