If you are treating for problems: Start adding 1/4 tsp for 3 days & raise it by 1/2 tsp every 3 days, until you get to 1tsp. Dose 2x/day for a month & see the difference.

I'd go with the above treatment, unless you are just looking for better growth/color. Then, 1/4-1/2 tsp should be fine.

Pufferpunk,

I am interested in dosing my 120 with your methods. I went to the first post, and got lost as to what you are using now. Do you have a post that has everything consolidated as to what to dose with "name brand" and dose increments?

Has anyone ever tried to dose a set amount into the their ATO bucket? and let that be the method to dose the vitamin c??? kinda of like dosing vitamin C water every time it tops off?

Besides that I've also wondered if there would be problems if you can dose both vitamin C and Kalk together... anyone it this way too?

Javier,
This method seems to work pretty well. I have been dosing for almost 6 months now and have seen my zoos and palys have great results. At least the colors have been a lot better.

One of the things we do know about dosing vitamin c is that it does not last long in water. That is why we dose twice a day. The product needs to be kept cool and dry before use. This would be a good diy project for someone :).

yo brock...are you using the same stuff puff is using ?
i just ordered two bottles thinking they were on the other side of the world,
but the company is right here in Irwindale...like 15 minutes away from me...

Just for clarification, I might have missed this small detail in the freaken multiple 40 page thread splits, but has anyone looked into this with some evidence? I'm curious to know because dripping is obviously much easier! ;)

I dont remember who said it, but someone with chemistry background stated that sodium ascorbate only lasts a short time when mixed with water. Dripping would be nice. Its been weeks since that information was discussed, I could look back and find it this week.

Javier,
I ordered the VIT C from Iherb in Irwindale too. If I had known they were local, I would have driven there. :) Not 15 minutes but close enough!! The VIT C dosing is a helluva find bro.

thanks again puff for your help...im sure many of us will have happier/healthier zoas/palys thanks to you & your thread...THANK YOU !!!

Puff,

Can I run my phosphate reactor while dosing? If not, when should I run it. Just started dosing today. I'll keep everyone posted.

It should not interfere with the VC dosing. The only thing I do differently is if you have severe problems (melting zoas, etc) then I suggest removing the carbon/Purigen from your system, until things look better. I dose in my sump after where the Purigen I use is placed, for maintence dosing.

Pufferpunk, What do you think about posting a previous or current fts. That would be good to have on the first page here I think. So folks can see your beautiful zoas and palys, etc.
:)
