My bluethroat trigger has been in a 75g QT along with all my other fish for a few weeks now due to an ich infestation in my main tank. He has developed a sore on his "chin" I assume from rubbing against the glass begging for food.
He still eats like a pig, but I'm worried about secondary infections or worsening of the wound before I can move him back to the main tank. Does a preventative treatment exist that won't kill off the biological filter or should I just leave it alone?
