What could be the cause of this? The tips are almost white while the rest is light green. My parameters are in good numbers. What can I do to get the colors back? My params are:

pH: 8.0 to 8.3
Temp: 79
Alk: 9.5
Ca: 420
Mg: 1350
PO4: 0.03
NO3: 0
Sg: 1.026

Thanks in advance

Sorry I should add to that. Yes I'm running carbon and gfo with brs dual reactor. I have little nuisance algae ever since I cut back on feeding so I'm suspecting low nutrients. My chaeto is also growing very slowly. Do you think this could be the cause?

There are a lot of possibilities but tissue color loss is common when you have removed too much of the nutrients from the system. Can you take a picture of the acro?

I just snapped a pic:

What's the polyp extension like? I would double check your alk readings just to make sure that you have not over dosed. If you alk reading is still fine, turn your gfo and carbon reactor off for a week or even longer. You should start to see things color up at that point.

I tested Alk twice weekly and it's always around ~9.5 dkh using API, Salifert and Hanna (redudant I know but can never trust one single test). There are some PE at night but not much at all. I guess I'll shut off the reactor and see if things improve... crossing fingers. thanks
