Hey everyone I neeed some advice,

I have a tricinctus clownfish that has been going through QT for the last 6 weeks and everything was going good. It seems that in the last few days its has stopped eating, looks skinny, and it breathing rather fast.

Like I said, it has been in QT for 6 weeks with no additions to the QT tank. I am thinking its a internal parasite or maybe a bacterial infection. What do you think and could you recommend a good medication to help.

Thanks in advance
Dave

Are the eyes sinking into its head????

If so, I bet that it was Cyanide caught!

I was in the Marshalls last summer and asking around it seems that all of the fish collectors there use Cyanide. They kinda looked at me funny when I said only net caught. One guy said that they use nets ........ only after the fish is stunned and immobile!!!

Horrible!

No, lucky the eyes don't seem to be sinking in. It just has the above symptoms and is rather lethargic..

Anyone else out there have any ideas?

It isn't looking any better :( I have tried a few things but he doesn't seem to be respnding to any of them, he isn't eating and is breathing very fast and shallow. I am heading out of town this morning and I don't think he will be with us when I return.

Thanks for your concern.

Is it WC? It may have an internal parasite that needs to be treated. I have and am using a Praziquantel liquid form med called PraziPro. I had the same problem with my WC SI Percula that showed up after 3 weeks into QT. It is a quick 1 maybe 2 treatment med that can be added to the QT if they are not eating and it supposedly does not kill the biological filter. after 2 days the Percula started eating again. I am going to start using this as a preventative med for all my WC fish in QT.
