Trick for nori

What I always hated about feeding nori was my fish would rip off big chunks of it right away and then they'd just float around the tank.

I saw a thread on here awhile ago that had some tricks to help.

One was to roll it up like a cig. and put it on a veggie clip. I tried that and it was better but I just tried another way that really works well.
The poster showed a pict. of his which was rolled around a small piece of airline tube and attached with a rubber band going around it several times. Then you attach the tube to the veggie clip.
I tried it today and it really worked good.
I used a little bigger tube than the standard size.

Just thought I would share

Neat tip!

Of all your fish which ones eat it and which ones don't.

Im just wonderin what fish actually like it, for future reference.

Tangs for sure go crazy over the stuff.
Mine I swear turns into a Piranha when I put a sheet in the tank.
(insert Jaws or Psycho music here!)

I once had a piece of slate the size of the palm of my hand, that I had taken a piece of that plastic white chain, and siliconed one link in an easy to hook edge... Then I used several rubber bands to attach the sheet flat.

The chain link was used in conjunction with a long plastic hook on a rod to lower and retreive the feeding block. The rubberbands held the nori flat, till certain areas were torn free.

Well the first time I bought nori many years ago my tangs really didnt eat it. I dunno why if it was the brand or old whatever.

I used to feed mine broccoli all the time and they loved that.

Anyway Bri to answer, I got some again about a month ago and they just tear into it like limpet said. In fact I just put some in and my yellow tang attacked it with my hand still there. If I wanted I coulda caught him in my hand lol. He just kept eating even though my hand was an inch away from him.
I have 5 tangs and they all love it. Even the powder blue I just got ate it the day I got it.
My clowns like to hang around it while the tangs rip it off and grab pieces to. My 6 line wrasse hangs by it also but not sure if it eats any.
The only fish that really pick it off the lettuce clip that I have are the tangs. The others eat the flying scraps.

I like this rubberband around the tube trick cuz I can feed them more often without big chunks of it going around the tank.
