I have a tridacnia that the cape is suffering not open completely, I have read to an interview on the review corals of baths with the glucose that in these cases help to resume themselves. is melted a teea spoon in two liters of water.
I have made three as advised one to the day but I do not see signs of resumption you have any council ?
in aquarium I have others three tridacnia that do not give signs of suffering

oh, that sounds like "gaping". That is usually a terminal condition. like i said, ive never heard of glucose baths, so i cant help there. looks for parasite- like pyramidal snails.

i think he's describing pinched mantle maybe??? and a fresh water dip??? cape = mantle i'm guessing, either way we could really use a picture.

check out this thread.

in my gallery you see a photo, the tridacnia opens more the two valves but the mantle he/she remains as in the photo to the inside.
the baths are in water of the aquarium with assistant saccharose 1 spoon thea in two liters water, I had read him/it in an interview to knoop on coral, but any result.

I have not succeeded in putting the photo in the post..
