Trigger coloration

I bought this pink tail trigger from LA almost two months ago, he has been quarantined, TT, two rounds prazipro, and two rounds of erythromycin. When I first received him he was almost dead, floating in the bag and floating throughout acclimation and even stuck on the filter during the first day of quarantine. However since day two he has been lively eating anything i give him. He is slowly gaining weight, still painfully thin tho. Now I cannot figure out why he has these areas of color loss. Will add pics...
Any ideas?

Finally...
They appeared after the TT which cured him of ich. My first thought was bacterial infection where the ich fell off...

Oh wow I have no clue but he does not look right at all. I have a pink tail right now in my 180.

How is he did he make it or give up the fight?

I actually added him to my DT last week. I believe, as Newsmyrna80 said, the discoloration was stress related. I took the other fish out of the small tank he was in and he cleared up soon after. He is still eating enough for three fish and is filling out nicely.

Just wanted to check in and see how he was doing?

I am thinking about trying to catch my pink tail and get rid of him he is just to mean and I can not add other fish especially smaller ones.

Only way I know to catch him will be with a hook that has the barb filed down. I love the fish and he has so much character but he has me very limited at this point.

He is about 7" long and as thick as can be in fact he is the thickest fish I have ever owned he is a healthy ox to say the least.

This guy is amazingly healthy and vibrantly colored now, I think I have been over feeding him to compensate for the horribly thin condition I received him. He has probably grown an inch and looks so fat he can hardly swim. I have noticed no aggression from him, in fact my valagamii and some of the other big fish out compete him for food. I am sure to slip him a few krill though...

awesome news! please post a follow up pic when you get a chance. i'd love to see how much it's changed since you helped him turn around.
