Triggerfish!

Hello, all!

I am currently trying to decide which trigger to get for my 180 gallon tank.
I am infatuated with the fuscus trigger, although I doubt I'd be able to put him in my 180 (by himself) for life. So, in order to get over that thought, I'd love to see some nice pictures of your triggerfish for inspiration! Any ideas of what I should do for my 180 involving some sort of trigger? Any ideas would be appreciated!

-Niger
-Goldheart
-Indian (currently have)

I would, but I think they're rather "over done", you know? I've also heard a story about how a CT took a rock and kept ramming it into the glass, causing the glass to break. Sorry, I don't want wet carpet, haha. I will admit though, that I do like them a lot. I might consider getting one.:thumbsup:

My lfs has a very nice queen trigger for sale, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't put her in my 180 (by herself).:hmm1:

I do not considering they are by far my favorate fish hints the name clowntriggerfis. any big trigger "could" break glass with a rock but it is extremly rare and if you are that worried about it glue your rock.

More than likely a species tank, since I like the really aggressive triggers. I was wondering though, if any fish could be placed with said aggressive trigger. Like, if the trigger were to "go postal", would there be any fish that could hide/ fight back?

Yes another large aggresive trigger but then it would be ww3 and you would have 2dead/hurt trigs. Damsels are good aggresive fast and cheap to replace.

my pink tail was pretty aggressive!!! lol it bit me more than once while hand feeding my moorish idol.

I know its a cheap fish, but I think Huma-Huma's are beautiful for the price, however, they are also a little "over done". Just a thought. Best of luck!

fuscus, clown, queen, titan, undy...must be kept alone when larger because they will kill all of their tankmates...however, the undy should also be kept alone even when tiny as they are just nasty aggressive and mean, and will attack fish many times its sie...these fish should not be kept together when large...a damsel will work as tank mate...small, very fast, and some, are very aggressive...just dont get an expensive one...I had a domino that grew to about 4 inches, was just massive and thick...held his own with some tough triggers...got rid of the domino due to aggression, lol...anyway...be careful with these fish...ps, if you purchase these fish as large adults they will be mean right off the bat...I once saw a 14 inch queen try to eat its way out of an acrylic tank....was attacked by a 3 foot titan, that was thicker than a bowling ball off Kaua'i...dangerous fish...

Yeah, I'd never get a titan, lol. But yeah, I was expecting to hear that big mean triggers can't be placed with much, it's rather obvious. Probably not going to go with a fuscus (even though I reeaaaaaly want one) as I'd have to get rid of it eventually 'cause it'd outgrow my tank. :rollface:
