trimming fuge cheato

When you trim the cheato in a fuge how much do you trim? And from top or bottom?

I'm not sure if it matters, but I just take 1/3 of it of from the side. Mine seems to grow sideways. I don't cut it...I kinda just pull/seperate it.
I've been trimming mine every 2 weeks. I give it to my LFS and he cut's me a break on livestock.

I just rip the bunch into halves and throw the one of the halves away. I doesn't matter coz it will grow back to the big ball again.

I just shake it up, rotate it around and rip some off. Come to think of it, I need to do it more often, sounds like a good stress reliever. :hmm5:

LOL my lfs "saltwater fish store to add" doesn't even know what cheato is. I tried that.

I don't go to them much anymore.

WOW! I was just sitting here on the phone with my brother. He has had his tank set up for about 8 months and I am still gathering the equipemnt for mine. (Had one a few years ago, but i am going to do it right this time). Anyway, he was complaining about algae AGAIN I told him he need to pick up some cheato. He informed me he had not been able to find it at the LFS.

SO, the point, any chance someone would like to mail some trimmings?

Just a few to Ohio??? This is one of those things that we could pass on to all the newbs
