how big do they get. do you have to worry about them knocking down corals like the turbos? i recently added 4 margarita snails (2 months ago) and i am amazed with how much appetite they have. day and night they are busy eating off rocks and glass. astreas are the worst. they barely eat, they can't turn themselves back up, and they die easily. i lost all 5 of mine in 2 months. all my other snails are doing perfectly fine and my water parameters are good.
Trochus also seem much better at flipping themselves upright when they are upside down, than astrea or turbos, in my experience.

+1! They are best kept a cold water tank such as an NPS. They might survive for a couple of months but then they become fish/crab food.Do not add margarita snails, as they are a coldwater species and will die in your tropical tank.
Not as available as they were years ago already.
