TRON's SPS Custom Rimless Pico

Nice tank. You will love the switch, especially with ATI.

If you still miss the led. I recommend you look into Reefbrite for supplement.

Thanks NV, I'm already seeing incredible results. An explosion in growth, and surprisingly, no loss in POP! My plan was after the initial acclimation and transition, to add one strip of reefbrite Blue LEDs across the front but I don't find it necessary as this Sunpower puts out serious light and I'm getting similar POP on the corals that showed the most, such as my frogspawn and most of my zoos.

:bounce2:

T5's over Radion. Wow.

I'll follow along to track progress. Any plans to add any more SPS?

Well I have the two nice colonies, and I'm wait for two new pieces to explode. I got a beautiful Pink Milli from MACNA & a Red Planet frag from a buddy... Those should fill in some gaps nicely. Then the lower rock work is covered in various Zoas so they should pop some color and texture!

I can't talk enough about the explosion in growth I've experienced since the switch.... Had to double my bionic doses...

Thanks for posting this schedule.

Weird, I was just thinking about how to dose the Zeo stuff I have arriving today.

ZeoFood, ZeoBak, and the Zeo Nano Pak (Coral Vitalizer, Phol's Xtra, AA LPS, Sponge Power).

It is very tricky and every tank is different but on Nano Reef there is a user who is pretty up there as far as her expertise with all the products, also you can check out "THIS" ZeoVit forum for guidance and help with questions regarding the routine you may think about...

Hey Tron, have you ever compared costs to run BRS 2 part compared to ESV?

I'm at the point where I want a dosing setup and just deciding if I want to go with BRS or ESV. I have at least a gallon of BRS 2 part left and then I'll make the switch.

Hi Ryan,

I have been using B-Ionic 2 part for the past 3 years with this system and have found it to be more beneficial than simple 2 part recipes. The B-Ionic has a proprietary blend and is more than just Alk & Ca, but also contains trace elements and minerals which is more beneficial to the system. For one example, I don't need to worry about Magnesium, as just off the Calcium dose, it keeps the Magnesium at a steady level to help stabilize the other parameters... So in other words, it just offers a bit more and it's worked for me so haven't looked to change. You can call ESV, I think they're in New York or somewhere up there... Nice people, can definitely answer some questions for you!

Ive learned one thing in this hobby, you can't always look at cost when it comes to results! LOL

Wow, something to work toward!!

Thanks for the kind words Roger. Still a work in progress! This entire year has been one giant transition... From changing Lights...Filtration method.... Scape.....Additives.... Foods....

I'm confident I'm honing in on the final product and am ready to see the end result grow into its potential!

How's the Doser performing? Do you ever check it for accuracy?

I'm going with either the BM or GHL. Don't know if I can justify GHLs price though.

Better yet, I was able to snag one during a 15% off somehow but don't remember where, I think aquarium specialty... they matched a Marine Depot sale lol.

It is doing the trick for me. Didn't want to go with the questionable Marine Color dosers, and GHL is just ridiculous... Theres spending money on this hobby, then spending money to spend it, and I couldn't do it either LOL.

The Bubble Magus is working fine for me... I checked it for accuracy on day 1... Pump 1 was light 1ml on a 50ml dose, and pump 2 was spot on. But for the most part, it doesn't matter what it doses as I go off my 3 times a week testing.
