Trouble calibrating Vectra M1 to min flow rate ... defective?

Olliesshop

Love to learn
I've gone through the calibration process every way I can think of, but when it comes to the step of setting the min flow rate, the pump just turns on about 1/4 speed and will not slow down. I've used the "Driver" and also my Reeflink via my Android phone and my Computer and none of them work like the calibration video Ecotech made.

Therefore, I'm assuming that either the Driver (with the buttons) or the pump itself is defective. Hopefully I'm wrong and I'm just missing something.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

FYI, here's the minimum flow on the M1, without being able to calibrate it. It's supposed to be a trickle, once calibrated, so obviously it's much to high ... https://olliesshop.smugmug.com/Aquariums/Vectra-M1-pump-/i-3QTkXhP/A

I still haven't found a solution and my local store didn't have another one in stock today, so I might have to wait until Tuesday (after 4th of July) for a solution.

All the best!

EcoTech is sending a new Controller unit

Update: I spoke with EcoTech this morning and they determined it's a faulty Drive/Controller, since a hard reset did not fix the issue. I really learned a ton this weekend, though, about Reeflink and the M1. Hopefully when I get the controller it will work perfectly!

Pump and Controller/Driver are working great now

FYI, the new Controller/Driver fixed the calibration problem. I really like the pump, it's so quiet and very powerful compared to my old pump. It also works well with my Reeflink, as long as I have it connected with a cable to my router. In wireless mode it would lose connection frequently.

I am having a similar issue but unable to crank the pump all the way up... Good to see that customer support got you sorted.

I hope customer support can solve the problem for you too. It will be interesting to see if they think it's the "Driver"/controller. Good luck!

Total fail from customer support at Ecotech. Unwilling to respond with any science when I gave them data to support the pump was not meeting specified outputs. Returning both pumps for a refund...

and that is the reason why i am still using Apex to control the on/off of the Vectra L1
