Trouble keeping a diamond watchman goby

I have a 25g reef ~4yrs old, I’ve lost a diamond goby and would like to hear from those who have them on these smaller tanks. Mine kept getting more and more skinny. What do you feed your goby and how long have you had it?

I really love this fish so I’m trying to figure out what I need to do to keep one happy.

*EDIT: OOPS, change 15g to 25g...sorry for the typo.

My opinion is that its an uphill battle that's not really worth it, especially in a 25g. Some people learn to spot feed them or lace the sand with food. Both are tedious tasks and the latter can cause nutrient and/or algae issues. There are plenty of really excellent alternatives as well.

Mine, although kept in a 90g, will eat Mysis when I feed the entire tank. Though when I observe it feeding, it certainly doesn't seem to eat much. I make an attempt to use the turkey baster to blast food down to the substrate. Since you have a nano tank I would encourage keeping only a small diamond goby as he will have much less substrate to sift through for food.

What alternatives are out there. I'm game, the DWG does great work but not worth having if I can't keep it happy.

I use a Heinz chili sauce bottle( it's the best size I've found. Scoop some sand into the bottle,add food,mix & lay it on its side,
private dining for your DWG

I've never had a problem feeding mine with pellets. Unless it has a lot of competition. Just make sure it sinks as it would take go near the surface. I loved this fish
