trouble with venestus compatibility

I have a 300 fowlr with a venestus that has been in an acclimation box almost two months.

Every time I release him my pair of Brazilian fireball angels attack him. I have tried a mirror and releasing at night, overfeeding, rearranging the rock. Nothing works.

Would adding another 1or 2 dwarf angels spread the aggression?

Any suggestions.

You could try it in the reverse order: Put the fireball angels in the acclimation box and allow the Venustus to get used to the aquarium.

Agreed. Or even better, put them in the sump for a week or so, and then the acclimation box after.

If I had successfully acclimated a venestus the flame backs would be looking for a new home.

This x1000. An acclimated and eating Venustus is a blessing. Flamebacks are notoriously aggressive towards other small angels. I would try to pair off the Venustus and find new homes for the Flamebacks.
