In addition the library/DT Room and the fish room are both stripped clean; all of the exercise equipment is moved to its new location, and the hardwood floor for the library/DT room will be installed shortly!
great pump but make sure you get some really good valves to choke that bad boy back with. I had the same pump on my tank for about a day and it was just way too strong since I really only had a few ft of head loss.
Agreed. I'm a bit worried about that as I only have to push the water a short distance. It will also run a frag tank so that should help and I have two return lines coming into the DT.
Our setups do sound very similar!!! As soon as I am done cycling I will move my live stock from my 80 into the 315g and then put the 80 online with the big system for close to 500g twv. Everything is so close by so there is little head loss. I ended up switching over to a blue line 100hd and I have to turn that back about 25% right now but will probably be just enough once I put the 80g on it and add a couple of reactors.
As is the room upgrade! The Hardwood floor is mostly in; with just the trim to finish up! I also finished the demo on the fish equipment room and started the wiring. I might get the wiring mostly done today!
Here is a newer picture of the tank construction. Should be done by the end of the week. The stand is also underway and should be done early next week. Finally the sump and Frag tank materials arrived and should also be done by the end of next week!
Here is a picture of the in process stand build! The stand has two features that are somewhat unique. The 1st is that it has to be built in two pieces to get through my doors and down the stairs. The 2nd is that the front will have two built in bookshelves that match the bookshelves in the room!
Here is the tank; almost done! It will be delivered next Friday.
And here is the Sump... almost done as well. The Eurobracing will be a transparent BLUE!! Tyler at Elite-Aquatics is building it, a frag tank, and a skimmer!
In addition I completed wiring of a fan into the equipment room with a Dehumidifier switch. I also completed about 75% of the room wiring today; ran out of wire this evening and too tired to run to Home Depot. Having a completed basement makes wiring in the two 20 amp circuits a beast!
Wiring done! At least all the wiring runs and boxes anyway! I also got the 1st coat of patching done on the walls from where the closet shelving was before, and where I had to cut holes into the walls to pull wiring through. Finally I have all the plumbing supplies for the sink and drains. I've got to run water lines to the sink area next.
I'm off on a business trip for 3-days. The next big event will be the tank and stand install on Friday am!
Anyone have a good design for a box of electrical outlets for the equipment room? I know I've seen some designs but up high in the room I want to put in enough outlets for the lights, pumps, etc.
