Troy's 270 Gallon plus Fishroom

I've not posted in a while. Work is keeping me too busy so the tank hasn't got the attention I'd like to give it. Generally all is okay although I have had some SPS die recently...

Here are some pictures as I've been playing with my new Olloclip lenses for my iphone today!

My Zoa Garden is going great! I do have a 40+ headed Duncan that is not going well for some reason..and a smaller one as well. Not sure why.... and had some SPS start to die but seems to have stopped. Otherwise all is well. My 4 Anemone's I picked up from a local guy and going nuts... I keep having babies like once a week.... If I'm not careful I might have a tank full of nothing buy Anemone's soon! I've sold 2 babies so far and just pulled one out today and put into the frag tank.

Thanks! I do hope to get some better, more colorful, SPS going in the tank. Its odd, some of my SPS does extremely well but others just doesn't do well. ALso would like to get some really cool chalices going!

I'm hoping the Purple Tang does okay. The Powder Blue, which has been very shy to all the other fish that I've added, has decided he really doesn't like the new guy and spends all day chasing him around the tank....

Aptasia killing my SPS? I've had a couple big SPS colony's (both birdsnests) die in quick and dramatic fashion. Going from ok to total white out in 24 hrs. In both cases I found several large Aptasia's right behind and very close to these two colony's....

Question; does Aptasia kill coral that fast and dramatic???

Just wanted to thank Terence Fugazzi from Neptune, and who just happens to live very close to me, and to Mark Vera of Aqua-Tech for their visit this weekend. I'm just a humble newbie with my Aquarium and it was nice to visit with two experts in the field!!

+1 on the lineatus. Another georgeous wrasse is a Labout's (expensive but then again so was the lineatus) - just got one from Diver's Den. Also love the Blond Naso.

Isn't 7 tangs alot for this tank though?
