They're two different morphs of PPE's... The top one is a bit deeper purple and brighter green, and obviously has a larger polyp... I'll get at least 1 or 2 polyps per month on them... The bottom one I've had for a year and a half and only had one new polyp... And I've tried moving it to various locations, under different lighting, and a broader spectrum...

Ummm... The fast growing kind... lol I haven't fragged the smaller ones yet... Though I've had more than a few requests... Don't know why... I like the bigger ones better anyhow...

Yep so far, wish they would get busy and multiply though. New zoo/paly experiment might be in order..... lava lamp lighting and Barry White music playing in the background.

I am liking the PHE's more and more though.

Yup... They're my favorite of the Purple center and Green skirts... Did they develop the red ring under your lighting???

Wow, thats such slow growth rate.....have you seen a rock covered in PPEs? Like a few hundred polyps? Does that exist?!!!

Largest colony I have seen had something like 60 or so on it....

I'm sure they exist, question is are they in someones tank or did they get fragged up and sold off.

Island~ I've seen some over 100 polyps... To be honest, they're not even my favorite... I keep them for trade/sale value...

So tru.....slow growth, low supply, high demand...guess its an investment!
