I got this the other day, a true pink Florida ricordea.....I can't believe the color of this thing. The camera does it no justice....This is with just my 14k 250 SE, I have a T-5 set up coming today with Super actinic R bulbs.....I can't wait to see how the color pops......

I got it from a buddy of mine down in Florida, he bought some and went back to the LFS to see if they had more. Well to my luck they did and he sent me that one.....I paid of course......I won't say how much but it was a nice pretty penny.....

As far as the sand bed no, I just started collecting them again. I could never keep yumas for very long and I have since went through many changes in my tank from lights to salt and I can keep yumas now. As far as Florida ricordea I have always loved those as well and have changed my ideology as far as my tank and what I want in it....Zoas, palys, rics.....With a couple SPS and LPS but very minimum......I have a new T-5 light system coming today with the actinics s I will post pics after I get that all set up and we can see what that does for the colors.....

I got the same ones from my local Lfs here where your friend got them from. They are nice. I got a whole rock of them and a couple loose ones. They were anywhere from 15-20 per polyp

It has 3 mouths right now.....Hope it starts to split now and often....So far the has been no color change under the lighting I have other then more pink which is what is wanted. It does seem to have some green intermixed in the acrotenticles/psudotenticles......

Very nice shots. What differences are you seeing in color and growth after adding the T5's?

It's just a Nikon coolpix 4300 in the macro mode......

The lighting is a 250 14k Hamilton SE and supplimented with 2x54w 48'' T-5 UVI Super actinic Rs.

The colors seem to be a bit more intense in the rics as well as the zoas and Palys. As far as growth I have not seen any new rics other then one of my purple rics that was in the beginnings of splitting when I bought it.

Some of the palys have really colored up.....But that is for a different forum.
