TRUE Western Australian Personifer Angelfish on LA tonight!!!

The cheaper price was just an error made in the listing. I had not considered the fact the previous were males and that is an excellent point as to why these are cheaper as well.

I myself will likely be getting a western australian female scribbled soon to pair with my other scribbled.

Can't wait to see the pics!!

The one from today was also $299, not the aforementioned $399, and it even has a little bit of the black bar starting to show.

She's 399 now. I was surprised when she went up 100 dollars on the way to my cart lol. I could justify 2x the meredithi price, but unfortunately not 399. I hope she goes to a good home :). She looks fantastic.

Do people think the quality of the true personifers is better than the meredithis? I wonder if collection practices and handling are better from that location.

Also, Ryan, I believe your fish is coming in today. Please be sure to post pictures!

I wasn't aware meredithis had any sort of collection issues

It wasn't my intention to infer that there were! I was just curious as to whether you get any better "quality" besides the rarity of the true personifer, and the black stripe in the caudal fin!

Just looking for more reasons to buy one of these beauties!

Oh, ok, my bad :)

AFAIK it's due to location, location, location :) But I may be wrong...

A full grown male Personnifer Angel with a full mask will blow away any Meredithi adult you will see. The difference is pretty remarkable. Usually you have to wait until they get pretty mature to appreciate the full coloration of the mask, however.

No, the meridithi get smaller yellow dots on the mask and the personifer gets pupil sized dots on the mask.

Oh, OK, so compared to this male meredithi, as an example, the personifer gets larger yellow dots? So there are then fewer of them?

Just from what I've read, the dots are the size of the pupil in the personifer, so I would guess less bigger dots would occupy the same physical space in the face.

She's Here! Looks Perfect too. LA did an excellent job packing her up. the box weighed 22 pounds! She is acclimating now and will spend the next few weeks in QT all by her self!
