So, what's the solution for eggs?.
That's the only way to be free of AEFW, find something that will kill the eggs.
Mo
hey Mo hows it going? as for the eggs I did notice when I dipped the piece in the beginning of this threads they turn off white after 8 minutes and they didn't have the really orange color to them.
I also took a tooth brush on them and scrubbed them off just to be safe.
Below is what I would recommend as a dip.
My dip was to aggressive for the acro. 8 minutes in that potent of a solution was way to strong but affective.
1000 mls of tank water and 300 mls of peroxide may have been too strong but was affective. I say too strong because the piece i dipped in the pictures and the video went pale and is just starting to recover. I will be dipping it again tomorrow and I will post my results.
This is what I am going to try:
If anyone wants to try it please try 1000mls of tank water and 200 mls of peroxide for 3 to 5 minutes max.
Then place them inside a batch of tank water for 15 minutes and then dip them again in a new batch as described above. Then when that's completed you can put them in a holding tank or back into the main display like I did.
Also I would suggest taking close up pictures of the base with a camera or your cell to check for eggs.
You will notice that the worms will fall off the colony almost immediately and will turn white when they are dead.
I Hope everyone dips there newly acquired with this stuff as I truly does work.
Almost forgot this stuff kills even asternia starfish and bristle worms in addition to any other pods on the acro.
