Trying to avoid the CL intake/anemone situation. How would YOU do it?

Any thoughts or suggestions would help. Stories of what happened to your anemone would help get the word out there that something can be done.

Hide the intakes in the rock work.... DEEP!!! Put a "strainer" on the intake. Remember this: draw from the bottom, output to the top.

How about turning this thing upside down and put it on the bottom, covering a bulkhead intake?
