Trying to get started.

The tank! She is cycling!
anyway, my overflow box isnt quite keeping up with my mag 7 its one of the Eshopps U tubes. Any tips there? I think I'm going to split my return and run it back into the sump with a ball valve on it

water is clear, Euroreef ES80 is breakin in and about 90 lbs of tonga will be here wednesday. I might have some pics then.

Here's the tank now, not just some weird hitchhiker in a hole in a rock.

It's kinda weird having a tank thats so long but not that wide. since its only 13 inches deep i pretty much have the rocks against the back glass and it looks like they are only a few inches from the front, when you look in from the side however you can see they are just over halfway there. The rock is all full cured tonga from premium aquatics. I'm pretty impressed. Ive seen some neat hitchhikers so far, couple of peanut worms and what not, and it only took a few days before the ammonia and nitrites were reading hte lowest this instant ocean test gives. The first small CUC should be here middle of next week. after that i'm gonna try to find a used 20 or 30 gallon to build a sump with, the one i have now just barely has enough room for the skimmer.

Total system. Traditional cleanup crews (snails/hermits) will not survive. Cucumbers and urchins are fine IME.

Dan

So the peacocks will let the Cucumbers alone. If so what kind do you have or recommend ? I had a urchin in with her but it didn't last long at all & it was a big one.
