Hi guys

So this is my first time doing ttm. I want to treat with prazi too so whats the best method.

Should you treat with prazi during ttm or after? If after is it done while the fish are in qt? Or do you keep them in the last tank/bucket and treat with prazi before moving to qt?

Your help is appecitated

This is how I dose Prazi:

Day 1:
Day 2:
Day 3:
Day 4: Transfer
Day 5:
Day 6:
Day 7: Transfer fish, Dose PraziPro
Day 8:
Day 9:
Day 10: Transfer fish
Day 11:
Day 12:
Day 13: Transfer fish, Dose PraziPro

After Day 13 they are in a observation QT, PraziPro only lasts ~3 days in water I beleive so after that I just observe for another 3 weeks or so for any other disease. I take all this time to make sure the fish are eating food that is fed in the aquarium.

I was under the impression you want to dose prazi ~7 days after the first dose to kill any of the eggs that have hatched. Also sometimes a third dose is necessary.

Can anyone provide details how and when to dose prazi during ttm?

On which days do you treat?
I start usually with the first xfer. So the fish arrive, they get two days to settle in and start eating, then they get their first xfer in to a prazi tank.

I treat for the next 3 xfers. Then break. Then treat again.

I use it on the first day of the second and third transfers (days 4 and 7).

This is when I use it as well. How much will depend on your QT. I run 10 gallon QT tanks so I use half a teaspoon each time I dose it. No fish has ever shown any stress due to the Prazi just make sure you have the tank water agitated enough to keep oxygen levels up.

I do the same method and luckily all my of fish were eating from the jump. I was wondering if you get a fish in that is not initially eating, would you still dose with Prazi-Pro, being Prazi-Pro is known sometimes to suppress their appetites.

That is a good point. I did lose a fish that wasn't really eating and I dosed Prazi-Pro. After that it seemed to stop eating completely and didn't make it. Next round of fish I get I probably will wait until I see them all eating well first. Even if it means a longer QT time.

I had a Royal Gramma come in that wasn't eating well by the first time I would dose and I still dosed the tank. Two days later it was eating like a champ and swimming more. Part of the issue of not eating could be something that Prazi treats so it is something you kind of have to consider based on the specific fish.
