Tube Anemones

I just acclimated two tube anemones to my system. I have never kept this type of anemone before and I have a few questions.

When shipped is it normal for the tentacles to be out? Or are they supposed to be retracted?

I do not see any visible tube on either nem. I assume that this is bad?

The tentacles on both nems are very sticky, I know this is a good sign, but I am still worried.

Where should I place these guys? directly on top of the sand bed?

For the record, these are in my non-photosynthetic system. I use no light and the tank is fed many many times per day.

Any other suggestions or recommendations would be great.

I kept one many years ago and IIRC It had a big gnarly fleshly tube, almost phallic-like. It disturbed my GF at the time. I had to bury the tube in the sand like 6 inches. The tentacle on mine remained open for the most part, I cannot remember them ever really being retracted.

It was very striking too bright pink. They are most beautiful.
