tunze 1073.05 and 1/2" plumbing

Does the ZTunze 1073.05 pump have connections for 1/2" plumbing or are there adapters available?
also would using this pump w/ 1/'2" plumbing and return line affect the lifespan of the pump due to increased resistance?

Out of the box a 1073.050 has 3/4" FPT fitting. You could buy a 3/4" MPT- 1/2" hose barb fitting. The only caveat is most PVC fittings are tapered (they get wider the further you thread them in) and if you get a tapered fitting and torque it in, you will break the pump. Out of the box it includes adapters for 25mm PVC pipe (slip) and 3/4 and 7/8" tubing. I think the best coarse will be to use the 3/4" tubing adapter and buy a barb adapter from 3/4" hose to 1/2" hose.
