Roger my 3140 has given me good service in my 120 reef tank. Would a 9015 be a improvement? I see it has a smaller pump but improved/different water flow. The outflow shaft add's about how much width? Thanks Bill

It adds about 2". We moved away from the electronic pump for the skimmers because of the added complexity. A 9015 with your current pump would be an impressive skimmer as your current pump has more power, I would however put the new venturi on it. I think the 9015 would be a modest improvement over a 3140. As your pump was stronger but the skimming ability of the 9015 is better.

Will my 3140 pump fit the new 9015? If so would this be a good fit? I see the transformer for my 3140 is higher rated than for my three stream pumps. Would that transformer upgrade a 6000 stream to the 6100 spec? Thanks Bill

Yes, the pump will fit and yes, that pump will convert a 6000 to a 6100.
