Tunze 6000 or 6100

I am having a hard time deciding which to purchase. My tank will be a 240 and probably be a mixture of LPS and some SPS. Would two of 6000's be enough? I have never experience or seen these pumps in person, so I don't really know what's the flow like. Do I need to spend the extra $200 or I would be fine with the 6000. Thanks.

Jeffrey, just go with the 6000 and upgrade the transformer later if you need more flow. It'll cost you the same, plus you have an extra transformer for backup.

its alright... i upgraded both to 6100. Almost twice the flow, much better for my corals IMO

It seems like everybody will eventually end up with the 6100. I guess I can save the hassle now and just get the 6100 and don't have to deal with the transformer.

can you update the 6100's to 6200?

No, The 6200 has a bigger prop and different stronger motor. It is possible but not cost effective.
