I just picked up some NIB Tunze 6000 streams and 7095 controller from a reefer who bought them and never even used them due plan changes. I also bought some new 6100 transformers to get more flow from the 6000s
Problem is the one unit stays in position fine and wont move unless I swivel it. The other one stays a little and then starts to move by itself. I woke up this a.m to sand all over since it moved to almost pointing straight at the glass. They all had the parts still in the sealed plastic packs so it not from wear and its definitely looser than the other side.. Can the swivel male side bracket that mounts on the 6000 as well as the female part that mounts on the magnet side be bought separately?
Just wanted to say I wish I would have bought these yrs ago. The new flow in the tank is great!!!

Yes, the best solution would be to upgrade to the 6200.230, this has a screw to clamp it down. I am out of this part at the moment, but Premium Aquatics may have it in stock. Also, you could just thread a zip tie through the hole to cinch it down for the time being.

Thanks Roger I was able to order 3 of them as well as a new PS for my osmolator since its been getting weak after 5 yrs of use. I ordered the 5012.010 model so I hope it was the correct one. I have replaced the pump a few times and the last being last month so its not that...

It could be a compatability issue that may require the controller be sent in. The newer pumps use more power as they have a double oring seal to make them more durable. The older osmolators need an upgrade to be able to deliver enough power. If the power supply doesn't fix it, send in the osmolator and I can upgrade it.

I`ll let you know once I get the new transformer. Its just been getting weaker over the last 2 yrs and even if I move it to the 12v setting its pretty slow. Hopefully the trans or the upgrade or possibly both will fix it.

Got 2 of the new mounts today and they work great and no more moving. AC/DC adapter is on back order so I will let you know if it fixes the issue once it comes

Thanks again

Finally got the new transformer for the Osmolator as its been on back order. Plugged it in and removed some water from the system to force a top-off. The pump ran quite and very strong compared to before. It refilled the loss pretty fast like it used to. I don't think there will be a problem with the new ac/dc adapter as it seems to be running the pump fine.
If it did have an issue what would I be on the lookout for since you mentioned this below

The pump will slow to a stop, this is an issue with a safety shut off in the power supply. An old controller in good shape running with a high head pressure won't have a problem, but if the wires or connector is oxidized or the head pressure is low the pump can draw enough power to cause the safety shut down and within 30 seconds it will slow to a halt rather quickly. You will here the pump slow from full power to a quick stop.

Also, I wanted to personally apologize for the backorder, your dealer wanted it shipped direct to you and I screwed up and shipped it to them, you should have had it much faster.

No problems on that at all. I was cutting it close though as the old transformer died last Thurs night. Had to do some manual top-off for a few days but no big deal :)

I "should" be ok then on the pump as it has a fair amount of head pressure and I replace the connector if I see oxidation ( 1 time ). Have a bunch from the strips Radio Shack sells.

Thanks Roger
