Tunze 6025 Grinding

My 6025 is grinding a little louder than normal. I have two of these, and one is considerably louder than the other. I opened up the shield and took out the propellor, a washer also fell out, I tried putting that back on the end and put it back together, same problem. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Might be a worn impeller or washer. What color/kind of washer was it?

A metal washer, clean on one side, looks a little corroded on the other.

The shaft was affixed to the motor and not broken correct? Just trying to get any useful info I can think of for Roger to see on Monday

I'll take it apart to look at it again, but the shaft wasn't broken, everything looked normal when compared to the other tunze, other than the fact that the washer fell off.

I would suspect the stainless steel shaft inside is broken or loose. Please check.

Guys, I am not seeing anything broken and it doesn't appear loose either. Thoughts?

I could only guess the base of the impeller is worn, I think it is best to send the pump in for repair/replacement.

Guys, sorry for the delay on this. I finally took another look at the pump. The shaft did not break, but it has come out of the motor.

Roger, should I still send it in or is there something you can send me for an easy fix?

Send it in, the best fix is to replace it, the shaft is seated much more tightly now.
