Tunze 6025 Nanostream issue

I'm going to give this forum a try first, since there was a link from the Tunze website and I've been a regular reader here at RC.

I purchased a model 6025 Turbelle Nanostream pump for my 54G aquarium through Premium Aquatics in June of 2007. This past week I came home from a weekend away to find that the pump had stopped operating. When I removed it and disassembled it to see what had gone wrong, I noticed that the metal shaft of the impeller had broken.

I've also had both sides of the "C" bracket break off - one happened some time ago, and the other let go as I was removing the pump to examine it.

I've read that there were issues with the bracket, but should the shaft have broken the way it did? Also, I'm not even sure the motor is working any more. I tested it once I had it out of the tank, but I couldn't detect anything.

I was very happy with the performance of the pump while it was operational, but I don't look forward to having to replace it every year.

Please advise on any additional information that might be required. Thank you!

There have been numerous posts about this including one last week by Mr. Tunze himself. We have fixed all these problems, the shafts are now a different material as our the clamps and many other parts. The pump has a two year warranty. If you send me the complete pump we will replace it with a new one. Please include your return info in the box.
