tunze 6025 pump broken?

I noticed that one of my 6025s was not working so I took them down to clean them and I saw that there was somthing strange about each of these. The one in the top of the pic, the metal rod was not attached and it came out with the magnetic white propeller thing. The one at the top of the pic is the one that was not working. The other pump was working fine but the pump looks distended. Kind of busting out in the middle of the blue writing. I was not sure if that was normal. The clamp for this pump actually broke but I highly doubt that has anything to do with the pump. Anyhow I was just wondering if there was something I could do for the one pump, are they 2 different versions? Thanks.

The top one needs replaced for sure, this was a known issue that happened to some older models which has been fixed, and will be replaced. The bottom one I am not sure what has happened but betting Roger will have you send it in too. If you did not get the clamp mentioned replaced Roger can set you up with a new and improved version as well

Please send in both pumps. The bottom one looks like it has the newer titanium shaft but it is very hard to tell from the photo. Some older pumps have that bulge when new due to manufacturing, we improved how the resin is applied to prevent this on new pumps, it may or may not be an issue but I would like to check it out to be sure.

Roger,

i have the same issue as namsupak--i have an extra 6025 (that i use to mix up SW) that was making a horrible clicking/rattling noise and not pushing any water in the mixing bin (5-gal salt bucket). when i took the pump apart, the metal rod was not attached and it came out with the white propeller.

i bought this pump "used" from another RC member about 4 months back; not sure when he bought it or if he was even the original owner; but the pump was cleaned out in vinegar and fresh water before it even saw SW again and worked great for a few weeks before the problem arose.

many thanks.

Send it in, the 6025 came out in November of 2006 so it still is under warranty-
