Tunze 6025

I just purchased 2 tunze nano streams. One of the units is pumping the water backwards through the exhaust and out the back of unit. What would cause this ? Please advise.

The most common cause on a new pump is the vaseline they apply for the dry test run. If they put in too much the parts stick and do not move the way they need to in order to reverse. Try this first, pull out the drive unit, there is a small stainless steel washer under it that is likely stuck to the drive unit. Wipe the vaseline off both parts and slide the washer on the shaft first, then put in the drive unit.

I have been using 2 new 6025, The ones coming out now are made very well. A large improvement from when the 6025 first came out. Im happy i stuck with tunze. Thanks for ur assistance ROger
