well if you wanted to upgrade to the 6055
all you need is

6055.100 motor block 109.52 USD
Power supply unit 12-24V DC 37.36 USD

everything else is interchangeable unless you sell the 6045 and buy a 6055 that is an option also

The 6055 propeller is bigger, and the clamp is tighter for lasting grip due to higher force from higher flow.

lets see some pic if you look in the catalog they all share the same part numbers

you need to have a single or multicontroller to use that function right?

that's my problem....even more money!

No need of the controller for it to work, only need the controller if you want to have the pump automatically changes its flow pattern.

chadfarmer, check out the "tunze nano mod" thread, lots of pics. The 6025/6045 props are trimmed back for the US market, the European 6025/6045/6055 and US 6055 props are the original size.

You can use the 6045 prop in the 6055 motor, but the flow is 25% less.

Well obviously. What's the point of dishing out 2 times the amount of money for the same thing?

How about 50% more flow? BTW a single controller is only $60.

Of course the true value of a 6055 IMO is if you are willing to mod it with a 6200 prop to pump out 2900 gph, for around $270 total and some elbow grease, a controllable DC pump that is the same size as a vortech, similar flow rate and cost less.

All things are relative, why buy a 6045 when you can get a 6025 for the same flow after a simple mod?

Not possible but I read one member is using the Seio controller for his 6025s, works well so far. But long term prospect is still unknown.

that sux. did you see the guy on ebay withthe 7095 and 2 6055s for 1300
yes so basically the controller is 240 shipped online and the two pumps end up being over 500 a piece.
i wanted to send him a response but i figured it would just be a waist of time.
