I also have a 6045 that runs backward. Its way past the break in period (6+ months) and has only recently become an issue. Do I need a new washer or what?
Reeferhead, is the shaft still firmly in the motor? If so you likely need a new disk or drive unit. If it is not you need to send in the pump for replacement. The shaft should not come out, this was a problem with the earlier motors.

The shaft is good. The disk may need replacement ,however, after closer inspection I think the prop assembly (is this the drive unit?) is defective. The white plastic rim on the bottom of the prop assembly is half broken off. I put defective prop in my other (properly functioning) 6045 and sure enough it ran backward and after making some rattling noises, stopped all together.
Can you send me the replacement parts I need? I'll PM my address again, I'm still waiting on the replacement brackets you were sending me as well.
I would need your name again. We sent out all the brackets yesterday. It sounds like you have an older pump without the stainless steel disk and this allowed the plastic to wear excessively. I will send both parts but please PM me your full name and a link to this thread or list of parts you need.
