Hello,

I purchased 2 new 6055's in May installed in late June. Yesterday 1 stopped working I tried switching the transformer just to see if that may be the problem but still did not work. Any suggestions? Thanks Rudy

Also I left you a number to call me but if you e-mail me no need to call.

Rudy,

Yes, I just got your voicemail, I am sorry today has been very hectic. Anyway, if we ruled out the power supply the only other thing to try would be disconnecting any controller, the pump should run without a controller, this way we can rule out a controller or controller cable issue. I would also pull out the prop assembly and check that fine sand, debris or calcium hasn't just locked it up. It is very rare for a 6055 motor to fail, I would say this is our most reliable controllable pump and I see so few problems with them that I would suspect whatever is the issue is likely simple and repairable.

Thanks Roger,

I did disconnect the controller and plugged it straight into the outlet without any luck. When I get home I will check the impeller and get back to you. Thanks Again Rudy

Hey Roger,

That worked. It appeared to have some calcium in there. Works like a charm. Thanks again. Rudy

I would clean all of them and it is best to use vinegar and use a pipe cleaner or very small brush to clean the hole that is the drive unit that spins on the metal shaft.
