tunze 6060 flow

I have a 150 gallon setup 48 x 30 x 24 tall with two returns and two maxi jet 1200 powerheads. Today I took out one of the powerheads and installed a tunze 6060 and the flow it created was way to much. The sand bed was blowing all over the place and the corals were moving all over the place like there was a tornado or something. My tank is a mixed reef and I am not sure what to do now. Is there a way to regulate the flow or cut down on it? The way it is creates a sand storm.

tunze 6060 is not controllable or you cant regulate the flow


maybe run it longways in the tank

It shouldn't be too much for that tank, work with the positioning, the longest distance is corner to opposite corner. I assume it most be a new sand bed, keep the pump clean, sand grains will eat it up. When the sand bed ages it won't move so readily.
