LRLS, the tunze stream 6060 can be use along with wavemaker as long as the interval are not shorter than 15min. Tunze stream 6060 aren't design for short on/off interval like the controllable series therefore if you run it in shorter interval, it will burn out the pump faster....
The brakes shoes will become worn which will destroy the drive unit and eventually burn the pump up. If the interval is set at anything less than 15 minutes and the pump fails it will not be covered under warranty.
Thank you for your response.......Do you think the 15 min intervals will make any difference in the tank? Another words, is it worth using the wave maker???? Thanks again.
Kevin
By the way 90 gal rr primarily sps but mixed the only flow is quite one 6000 and I am looking to add 2 tunze 6060 pumps. Thanks again
The closer that you can mimic nature the better you are gonna do. If you wanted to do it correctly you would be better off getting the 6101's with a multi controller and giving yourself so many more options. But if you cannot then I might not use the wavemaker just to be sure that you are covered for the full two years.
Another question to go a long with the 15 min interval is how long befor start up of the pump should the be? I am thinging of using a 24 hr timmer I am going to use the standard one here is the link what do you think of this.... Thanks again
they are used 3 months old am I am getting them both for $100.00 I cannot afford the 6101's right now.so if I alernate the timmers times this is etter than nothing ....right??????
LRLS, that can be done. As Rodney said as long as the interval are not shorter than 15 mins, you should be fine. As for what you want to use as the timer that is your personal choice. IMO mechanical timer will not be as accurate as you expect it to be.
